Los Angeles, CA — Get ready, K-beauty fans: Olive Young is officially bringing its skincare and makeup haven to the City of Angels. The massive Korean beauty retailer, which drew a record-breaking crowd at its KCON LA booth this past weekend, announced it will open its first U.S. brick-and-mortar store in Los Angeles in the first half of 2026.
The news comes on the heels of the company’s largest-ever international showcase at KCON LA, where its “school-themed” booth was a smash hit. The massive 430-square-meter space featured 66 Korean beauty brands and a total of 164 products. Attendees could get free skin scans, try out sunscreen tests, and learn a four-step skincare routine, all of which led to long lines for curated starter kits and trial zones.
A spokesperson confirmed Tuesday that the company has established a U.S. subsidiary and is moving forward with its LA launch. While the final details on the store’s layout and product selection are still under wraps, the company hopes to begin construction approximately three months before opening.
The KCON event, which drew 125,000 attendees to the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena, served as the perfect launchpad for Olive Young. The brand’s booth showcased popular staples like Mediheal and Round Lab alongside its own house brands, including BIOHEAL BOH and colorgram, with a special focus on brands it’s promoting in partnership with the Korean government.
While Olive Young has had a global e-commerce site, this LA store marks its first step into the American retail landscape and a huge win for K-beauty lovers everywhere.
