Jungkook, Jin join J-Hope on stage as BTS reunites for the first time since military discharge<\/p>

Some 27,000 fans roared as they chanted \u201cJ-Hope\u201d over and over until the K-pop star finally appeared on stage at exactly 7 p.m., wearing sunglasses and a striking red outfit, for his encore solo concert \u201cJ-Hope Tour \u2018Hope on the Stage\u2019 Final\u201d at Goyang Sports Complex, Gyeonggi Province, Friday.<\/p>

Marking the final stop of his world tour that began in end of February, J-Hope kicked off the show with four back-to-back tracks \u2014 \u201cWhat If,\u201d \u201cPandora\u2019s Box,\u201d \u201cArson\u201d and \u201cStop.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cWhat\u2019s up, Army (BTS\u2019 fan name). What\u2019s up, Goyang. Thank you so much to everyone who came to \u2018Hope on the Stage Final,\u2019\u201d he said, greeting the crowd that filled the stadium.<\/p>

\u201cThis is it \u2014 the final show. I can\u2019t believe it myself. Starting in Seoul at the end of February, this tour has lasted for three months and it\u2019s finally come to an end. I\u2019m honored that the finale is happening on such a meaningful day \u2014 June 13,\u201d he said. BTS debuted on June 13, 2013.<\/p>

The \u201cgolden maknae\u201d surprises Army<\/strong><\/p>

And meaningful it truly was.<\/p>

Following four songs from his special album \u201cHope on the Street Vol. 1,\u201d J-Hope was joined on stage by none other than Jungkook, surprising fans who had anticipated the appearance of at least one BTS member. Four members \u2014 RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook \u2014 were recently discharged from their 18 months of mandatory military service.<\/p>

The stadium erupted in deafening cheers when the youngest member appeared and joined in singing “I Wonder.”<\/p>

\u201cI was so nervous waiting under the stage. I\u2019ve missed you all so much during the past year and a half,\u201d Jungkook said shyly, clearly not yet used to the crowd. \u201cMy brain kind of froze for a moment. It feels so surreal to be here. Memories are coming back, but it all feels so new. I\u2019ve missed you so much. It\u2019s such a joy to sing in front of you again.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cI was watching Hobi (J-Hope\u2019s nickname) backstage and he was so cool \u2014 he\u2019s on a different level,\u201d Jungkook added, before performing \u201cSeven (feat. Latto)\u201d to give J-Hope time to prepare for the next segment.<\/p>

A bold new chapter: J-Hope’s stage three<\/strong><\/p>

Stage 3 was all J-Hope. Of the four songs performed in this section, three were fresh singles \u2014 \u201cKillin\u2019 It Girl (feat. GloRilla),\u201d \u201cMona Lisa\u201d and \u201cSweet Dreams (feat. Miguel) \u2013 FNZ Remix.\u201d \u201cKillin\u2019 It Girl\u201d had just been released half a day earlier.<\/p>

\u201cThis one doesn\u2019t need a long explanation,\u201d J-Hope said, referring to his latest single. \u201cIt\u2019s a song that shows the sexy side of J-Hope. I released the three singles this year \u2014 all exploring love in my own way, made for easy listening. I wanted to give the songs a beginning, middle and end.\u201d<\/p>

Later, he fired up the crowd with a BTS medley including \u201cMIC Drop,\u201d \u201cBaepsae\u201d and \u201cDis-ease,\u201d fueling anticipation for BTS\u2019 eventual return to group activities.<\/p>

The final segments, titled \u201cFantasy\u201d and \u201cWish,\u201d reflected J-Hope\u2019s ideals and his hopes for happiness for everyone. The setlist included his Billboard Hot 100 debut track \u201cChicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G),\u201d the B-side \u201cHope World\u201d from his first mixtape, BTS\u2019 beloved hit \u201cSpring Day,\u201d \u201cEqual Sign\u201d from \u201cJack In The Box\u201d and \u201cNeuron,\u201d the main track of \u201cHope on the Street Vol. 1.\u201d<\/p>

A show-stealing finale with Jin and the members<\/strong><\/p>

But the true highlight of the night came in the encore \u2014 when Jin joined J-Hope on stage for a duet performance of \u201cSpring Day.\u201d He followed it up with a live rendition of his second solo EP\u2019s main track, \u201cDon\u2019t Say You Love Me.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cToday is June 13 \u2014 our debut anniversary. I felt like I had to perform. So I just asked Hobi directly if I could do a stage with him. And here I am,\u201d Jin told fans.<\/p>

While only Jungkook and Jin appeared on stage, the rest of the BTS members were also present at the venue to support J-Hope. RM, V, Jimin and Suga were spotted in the VIP section and waved to fans when J-Hope mentioned them during his closing remarks.<\/p>

\u201cToday is such a happy day \u2014 not just for me, but for all of our members,\u201d J-Hope said. \u201cThey came to support this concert. BTS members are so precious to me. Without them, there would be no me. And without all of you (Army), there would be no BTS.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cAs long as I can keep moving, I\u2019ll show you the best performances and continue sharing good music with you. Thank you so much for coming.\u201d<\/p>
